Kim Kadlec Joins AOL As Head Of Relationship Management

AOL is announcing that Kim Kadlec, most recently worldwide vice president of Johnson & Johnson’s global marketing group, is joining the company as head of relationship management.

The newly created position will involve building strategic distribution deals with large partners, with the aim of growing AOL’s audience, the company says. Kadlec will report to AOL CEO Tim Armstrong and AOL Brand Group Susan Lyne. (The Brand Group includes TechCrunch, which is owned by AOL.)

Kadlec previously held senior roles at NBC Universal, Fox Entertainment Group, Universal McCann, and Zenith Media.

“AOL has a highly desirable and diverse set of assets and has built strong positions in key categories,” Lyne said in the hiring press release. “Kim’s role will enable us to most effectively leverage those global content and technology assets to diversify our distribution mix and amplify our traffic.”

On the ad tech side of the business, AOL announced the launch of a new programmatic ad platform called ONE last week.
