Want To “Bang With Nobody”? Use Google+

When your product idea turns into a meme, you’re probably doing something right. I’m referring, of course, to Bang With Friends. It’s the controversial Facebook app that lets you privately nominate those in your Friends network you want to hook up with and alerts you if they feel the same way. This in turn gave rise to Bang With Professionals, a site that takes the same concept and applies it to LinkedIn.

And, not to be er, left out in the cold, today sees Google+ get the Bang With Friends treatment with the appropriately named Bang With Nobody.

Promising to “Anonymously find Google+ friends who are down for the night” – but throwing in the caveat that “Your friends will never know you’re interested. Ever.” – the joke couldn’t get any more meta. Sadly, the app’s developers stopped short of making it a real app, however. Click on the Google+ sign-in button (as I did purely for testing purposes, of course) and we’re told that “this is just a laugh at Google’s expense.” And apparently ours, too.

Little is known about Silicon Cape-based Recast Labs, the “developers” behind Bang With Nobody, except that they “Do epic shit,” according to the company’s tagline. Well then.
